My bro had decided to let go of his Honda EG...well its time to say GOODBYE my dear VTEC (sob sob). I couldnt even hit on his full racing clutch yet and its GONE!
Since blackie found his's new owner and now Mr. 108 got his Vroooommm.....Chewwwwww Banana. The Daihatsu L2.
I was amazed by one of the story that my friend told me about 660 L2. This bunch of automotive college students went for an internship at this particular car modifying work shop. When one of my friend drove his little turbo for a service. Those student got stunned when they saw what's undearneath the hood.
Yup, it not bolt on turbo, the engine itself has it turbo on it. And it is the world smallest cc turbo 660cc. Dont play around with it. In Malaysia, we called it small chilli ( small yet burning spicy ).
The different between L2 and L2s are pretty simple. L2 only in manual transmittion and L2s is in auto transmition.
Driving this yellow banana on the street is like chopping all the "branded cars". Its small, easy to park, easy to cut lane, once turbo kicks in....Say byebye~~~
It might be an old car, and yet it is still very famous in Malaysia. The industry for Perodua has never die out. Even this car as old as almost 20 years and it still cost RM 12K.
Believe or not...the fun is there when you know you are paying lesser for the petrol.
