Caught in Action – The Brave Warrior
I am always loud and hyper when I happen
to see nice cars. But this particular ride stole my center stage attention. I
am not jealous or mad. But I am impressed and amazed by what they had done this
Brave Warrior.
Passerby might not notice the true power! |
The Lancer Evolution IX was born in Japan
on March 3, 2005. The 2.0 L Mitsubishi Sirius engine or better known as the 4G63 engine has
MIVEC technology (variable valve timing), and a revised turbocharger design
boosting official power output at the crankshaft to 291 PS (214 kW; 287 hp) and
torque to 392 N·m (289 lb·ft).
In Japan,
yellow represents COURAGE and today this Warrior will show the real battle
movements.
Chopping in every corner with the highest speed
I grew up with the Mitsubishi Evolution IV
at home. The sound of turbo drives my hormone rocket high. So, what so special
about this EVO that I am bragging about.
The Lancer Evo IX that we are looking at
has its power boosted to a lot more. I guess by building this monster, nothing
was held back. The engine itself is customized with, Tomei 2.2L Stroker Kit,
Tomei 280 PROCAM, Tomei Headgasket and Tomei Valve Springs to maximize engine
potential. Garrett GT35 Turbine and coupled with the APEXi Power FC ECU for power irresistible. Of
course with these changes, the ATL Fuel System is installed to supply the fuel
needed for the engine to run efficiently. A rebuilt of passion for racing
sensation.
A Warrior and his Weapon |
The exhaust system and air intake is next
to be adore of many other things. There has to be proper airflow, both intake
and an appropriate outlet. The intake starts with the Kansai Intake Manifold
and the Kansai Air Intake box for better air intake to increase the power of
the engine more. Even the radiator has been replaced to Tabata Radiator for
more cool air.
From the intake we move on to the loud and
exciting exhaust system. Fullrace Exhaust Manifold exits from the engine and
ends with a Fujistubo Exhaust, creating sound and volume that really dramatizes
the car. This significant sound that roar so loud on the track to get my
attention.
Meditating before the battle |
For balancing and braking power of the car,
Aragosta Suspension is used for maximum handling of this monster. Then Brembo
Front Racing 6 pot and AP Racing Rear 4 pot is used for high speed braking in
those sharp corners. If you happen to see it on the track, you know what it
means.
With its power to take on the corners and
maximum power on the straights, for protection, the Cusco Rollcage is installed
in the interior. Along with Bride Zeta III Seat and Takata FIA 4 point harness
to hold the driver in place with all the G’s that the car produces.
I do not know who the driver is, do not
know who the builder is. This car is as powerful as it looks. Sending this
car to battle on the race tracks is a must if you want to release the full
potential of the car. I do hope to see this car in the time attack races
beating best times and laps all over. This is most histrionically Evo at its
best, not only in looks, but its performance as well.
Whoever you are, may your battles continue to
glorify the breed of EVOLUTION.
