The Perfect Long Lost Twin - Porsche 997 Turbo

We are both similar in many ways. Both of us are round, short, big round eyes. Of course, my temper is like a turbo. It shoots up very fast whenever you step it hard. How can I not love my twin? But the different is, my twin come in very high figures, whereas, I am priceless.


I am referring to the standard Porsche 997 Turbo. It was introduced to the world in February 2006 at the Geneva Motor Show. I found my twin - 20 years later. I am proud of you.Bearing a new front bumper with the LED turn signal strips settled neatly in the air intakes; the fog lamps were moved to the corners of the bumpers. Large air intakes placed at the rear wheels provides other obvious indications of the Turbo model. Also featured was a retractable rear wing, as used on the 996 Turbo.


The engine is based on the 964/GT1 design rated 480 PS (350 kW; 470 hp) and 620 N·m (460 lb·ft). The turbochargers are fitted with a two-stage resonance intake system.

When human can go all out for plastic surgeries, why not my twin? The standard 997 turbo is all nice and pretty, but Exquisite Marque Sdn Bhd has taken my twin to the next level. Donning full SpeedART Body Kit and IForge 20” Wheel Set installed, the Porsche looks a lot sleeker and just plain menacing to look at. The side mirrors, side step, side storage and centre console has been changed to carbon fibre for not only the looks, but some lightening of the car. Not only has the exterior been changed, but the ‘heart’ of the sports car has also been tuned to generate more power.

It can also happen to a car. “Designed to suit to the driver’s needs and wants”, Exquisite Marque has placed this black Porsche 997 Turbo on a whole other level. The Porsche has had its turbo upgraded to the VR700 VTG Turbo Kit to crank up the power. Additionally the turbo is coupled with a forged intercooler to support the powerful turbo. For more power, the Plenum Chamber has also been upgraded from the factory plastic ‘T’ shape to the more efficient aluminum ‘Y’ shape 997 Turbo IPD Plenum. To enhance the turbo further, Evolution Motorsport Boost recirculation valves was also installed to assist in reducing the wear on the turbo charger and engine.




FABSpeed cool air intake is installed to divert more cool air into the engine to improve performance. Installed as well is the FABSpeed Exhaust system which gives the Porsche a wondrous low growl when idle and changes to that of a roaring lion when at high revs. The ignition coils have been changed to the BBI High power coil packs to support all the newfound horsepower in the engine. Of course with all the modifications done to the engine, an ECU custom reflash has been done to support all the mods.

With the modifications done to the car, my twin is now generating about 670 hp and 750 N.m of torque. With that sort of power, proper handling is needed to control the raging beast. Gemballa 997 tiptronic system and alloy pedals to smoothen the gear transitions, 997 turbo H & R Anti Roll bar for rigidity in the rear axle of a Porsche, which traverses the underside of the car from left to right. A flexible sway bar bushing attaches it to the chassis. The anti roll bar end link is the structural member that twists the anti-sway bar when the vehicle is cornering. Also to improve the handling, Porsche 997T Bilstein absorbers are installed. For the brakes, Brembo’s red GT Kit 6 pot for the front and 4 pot for the back for all the braking power needed to stop or slow down a car with all that power.

Nothing much has been done to the interior to retain the full Porsche 997 Turbo look, but to enhance the looks, the door panels have been done up with black Alcantara with red stitching. With all the modifications and changes done to the car as a whole, the Porsche is just both powerful and a ‘doll’ to drive around in. Not necessarily with all that power that you have to push it to the maximum, but when the adrenaline calls, the power is there waiting for the throttle to be pushed to the floor.



My twin can give you both pleasure and climax. She can even moan louder than I do, it doesn’t matter to see you on the road or track. Treat your partner well!
